RealDeal Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026
RealDeal is a Chrome extension that helps you shop on Amazon.in and Flipkart. It shows price history, a Buy/Wait verdict, the same product's price on other stores, your price with the card offers that apply to you, EMI plans for the cards you choose, and price-drop alerts. This policy explains what the extension reads, what it stores, and what it sends.
The short version
- We do not run a server. We do not collect, sell, or share your personal data.
- Everything the extension remembers is stored only in your own browser.
- The extension sends product links (not your personal details) to the stores and price-history sites listed below, only to look up prices.
What the extension reads
On Amazon.in and Flipkart pages only, the extension reads the product page you are viewing: the product title, price, offer and EMI text. This is processed inside your browser to show alerts and the popup. It does not read pages on any other website, and it does not read your account, address, orders or payment details.
What is stored, and where
The following is saved in Chrome's extension storage on your device and is never sent to us:
- Your watchlist (product links, titles, your target prices and alert settings, latest prices).
- The cards you pick (bank name and credit/debit only; never card numbers) and, if you enter one, your delivery pincode.
- Recent alerts and cached price-history results.
Uninstalling the extension deletes all of this.
What is sent, and to whom
| Recipient | What is sent | Why |
|---|---|---|
| pricebefore.com, pricehistory.app | The link of the product page you open, or a product you are watching | To get its past prices for the Buy/Wait verdict, shown on the page and in the popup |
| Amazon.in, Flipkart | Search queries built from the product title, requests for watched product pages, and a request for the offer list of the product you are viewing | To find the same product on the other store, check watched prices, and read card offers |
| Croma, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales, JioMart, Tata CLiQ, Snapdeal, Shopsy, Meesho, Myntra, Ajio, Nykaa | A search query built from the product title, when you open the popup on a product page. For Croma and Reliance Digital, also a request for the bank offers of the matching listing. JioMart receives the delivery pincode you enter in the popup, or a default one. | To show the same product's price, and your card price where available, on these stores |
These requests are made by your browser, like a normal visit, and are covered by those sites' own privacy policies. We do not receive copies.
What we do not do
- No analytics, tracking pixels or advertising.
- No sale or transfer of data to third parties.
- No use of data for credit decisions or anything unrelated to the features above.
Not affiliated
RealDeal is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales, JioMart, Tata CLiQ, Snapdeal, Shopsy, Meesho, Myntra, Ajio, Nykaa, pricebefore.com or pricehistory.app. Prices and offers are shown as found on those sites and may change; always confirm the final amount at checkout.
